stewed strawberries!

Sometimes when I have strawberries at the house, I can’t get enough and I eat them every day. other times, I totally ignore them until they’re too ripe. finally, I found a solution to my problem. a solution that can top waffles and pancakes, be stirred into yogurt or oatmeal, or even be a sundae topping – heck, you can even eat it alone! the solution is to stew them!! it’s quick and easy, and these strawberries are refined sugar free! go ahead and indulge a little!

What you need:

  • 8oz strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tbs agave nectar

place strawberries in sauce pan and cook over medium heat for about 7 mins. stir frequently. add agave and cook an additional 5 minutes. remove from heat and cool.

serve on top of yogurt, oatmeal, ice cream, waffles, whatever!
